Statutory Clearance & Transit Logs

Absolute legal compliance is the cornerstone of our agency operations. Both foreign and domestically flagged yachts are required to obtain authorized Transit Logs from local harbor masters when navigating between domestic ports.

For vessels arriving from or departing to international waters, a comprehensive frontier clearance procedure involving customs, immigration, and maritime police is strictly mandated. Yacht owners or acting captains must formally submit their Transit Logs upon the conclusion of their cruise. Vera Yachting coordinates these administrative necessities behind the scenes, ensuring your itinerary remains uninterrupted.

Maritime Disbursements & Regulatory Fees

Depending on your vessel's specific operations and routing to or from Turkey, standard Coastal Safety assessments and official disbursements will apply. Our agency meticulously manages and processes the following port and transit liabilities on your behalf:

• Strait Passages : Istanbul Strait and Çanakkale Strait entrance fees (varying by Aegean, Marmara, or Black Sea approach), including mandatory lighthouse and salvage tariffs.
• Non-Stop Transit : Lighthouse and salvage fees applied to vessels navigating the straits without calling at a domestic port.
• Port Operations : Standard seaport entrance and exit tariffs.
• Documentation : Yacht fees (applied upon issuance of the Transit Log Certificate) and the formal Transit Log (Sailing Permission Certificate) fee.
• Administrative : Official Vera Yachting agency coordination fees.

Customs Regulations & Passport Control

Upon entering Turkish Territorial Waters, the arrival of a foreign-flagged yacht must be officially recorded in the passport of the yacht owner or the commanding captain by local customs authorities. This specific registry must be formally canceled by customs upon the vessel's departure to international ports, or when the yacht is legally secured in a domestic marina for winter lay-up.
